Hello, world! I’m Tyler, 28/M/Connecticut (AKA Skyrim Lite). Nice to meet you!
My short story: I’ve been very happily married to the woman of my dreams for three years and counting. I’ve got a couple of college degrees and work in a warehouse for one of the biggest companies in the world. I am a professional voice actor with several credits to my name. And I really enjoy video games, music, bacon, elephants, forests, anime, books, sci-fi, and Mountain Dew (you’re welcome for the free marketing, Pepsi).
I have been craving a space to talk about awesome stuff in our world in a slightly longer-form way than normal for social sites. And I guess just to put some of my internal ramblings onto paper. Better out than in, right? If you’re wondering, the name of this blog is a portmanteau of “8-bit,” a gaming and tech term, and “beats per minute,” a music term. It was the name of a now-defunct radio show I used to host, and I was proud of the name I gave it so it’s carrying over to this.
This blog will mostly focus on topics related to gaming, tech, and entertainment. I may occasionally interrupt these randomly with a story from my life or the lives of my friends for funsies. Also, obligatory cat pictures will happen. This is the Internet, after all.
If you’re looking for a fun place to read about cool stuff and maybe meet some cool new friends, you’ve found it! If you’re looking for a tryhard feed whining about how this should be or why X is a total hack and everything is terrible, you’ll want to keep searching. I’ll only really be talking about stuff I like here. I’m not out to hurt anyone or ruin careers (Haters and jerkbags are the exceptions to this rule and can get lost).
